Back in the days connecting to servers wasn't as easy as it is today. Basically you had to mimic the game client so you could obtain list of servers from the master server (Raven Software) which meant sending exact specific string to UDP server and parsing response which was in bytecode and not text/json format. Challenging but FUN project which still works today! After 16+ years.
